Bab's Dock
Bab's Dock is a laid-back beach club tucked away on the lagoon west of Cotonou. You leave the car on the mainland and cross by boat through the mangroves, then spend the day between the lagoon, hammocks and the restaurant.
Where it is
In Cococodji, off the road towards Ouidah. Plan for about 40 minutes by road from central Cotonou.
How to visit
It is not open every day, so check opening days before you go. Bring cash, swimwear and sun cream, and plan to stay the afternoon.
Good to know
It is popular with families and expats at weekends. Go early for the best spot.
